The Foster Closet is at Alpha

The Foster Closet of Western Wayne County provides aid to the  Foster Care Community and those experiencing financial hardships. Often children arrive in their new foster home with only the clothes on their back. The Foster Closet provides new and like-new clothes, shoes, toiletries, bedding, new socks, underwear, toys, books, uniforms, diapers, and baby equipment to alleviate the financial burden of foster parenting. We are located inside Alpha Baptist Church, 28051 West Chicago, Livonia. Appointments can be made by calling 734-421-6300. 

Friendship House

Alpha Baptist Church supports Friendship House which was founded by Minnie Shepherd, a member of the American Baptist Home Mission Society.

Friendship House is a faith-based non-profit organization located in Hamtramck that serves as a compassionate ministry, strengthening families through community connections and offering help with basic human needs to residents, such as food and clothing, and providing assistance in gaining the tools necessary to achieve self-sufficiency.

AAA Pregnancy Resource Center

Alpha Baptist Church also supports the AAA Pregnancy Resource Center in Livonia.

The AAA (Alternative Answers to Abortion) Pregnancy Resource Center is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to the sanctity of human life. They provide resources to promote life, teach God’s design for sexuality, and provide counseling for post-abortion healing.

As a Christian non-profit 501(c)3 organization all services are free of charge to the women and families they serve. Their trained client associates provide pregnancy tests, confidential peer counseling, referrals, material goods and post-abortion counseling in a caring, supportive environment.

Healing Hearts Ministries

Healing Hearts Ministries was formed to provide Biblical counsel and discipleship to individuals who suffer emotionally and spiritually from the pain, trauma, and affliction of their past. Approximately 50% of their clients suffer from post-abortion trauma. Approximately 15,000 individuals have been served requiring approximately 450,000 volunteer hours.
